Need to spot the difference between two snippets of code? You can now diff between your clipboard contents and a selection, via `editor: diff clipboard with selection`.
When collaborating in Zed, you are able to optionally share your screen, for times when you leave the editor and want others to still be able to see what you are doing. Now, you can choose to share any of your recognized displays.
The agent can now also make edits outside of the current project, with permission from the user, and we now support Magistral (mistralai) via Ollama!

We're committed to the development of AI offerings in Zed, but we recognize that not everyone wants these features in their editor. Today, we're shipping the ability to disable all AI features within Zed, via `"disable_ai": true`.

🚀 We just released Zed v0.197! If the Debug Adapter for your language supports it, you can now configure breakpoints such that the debugger only stops on them based on variable access patterns: Read, Write, Read & Write. This is useful for tracking down unexpected changes to your application state.
What world… many platforms need to know juggle between continuing to treat users as products and preventing becoming a product themselves of AI companies

it's just been tricky to write & read from programs in my experience, too many ways to customize and write it in slightly different ways. plus i would love something human-readable. but it is a good format!
arrow is kind of 'obsessed with performance' and cool for what it does but not the kind of thing i want to build a cute table editor tool on
i really want a nextgen file format alternative to xlsx - tabular like csv but typed like json but not obsessed with performance like parquet. probably doesn't exist?
either that, or i just broke everything
Atuin sync should now feel much, much faster! Got those P99s down to ~80ms we had some group bys that were starting to cause a lot of trouble, which have now been optimised away
