We cannot deny the superb quality of Astral's tooling. For Pythonistas 🐍, we've bundled `ruff` with Zed and enabled it by default—you no longer need to install an extension.

When @-mentioning large files in the agent panel, you run the risk of blasting through the model's context window. Now, for these large files, Zed intelligently provides the file's outline, so you can have longer conversations with the agent before needing to start a new thread.

Some devs enjoy seeing whitespace markers in their editor. For those devs, you can now customize the characters that mark whitespace via the new `whitespace_map` setting.

2. shift the prompt and use part of it

(1) was the default, lots of people complained
(2) is the new default and... people complain 🤷‍♀️

listening to music and reading books that are generated by ai to your specifications will make you a worse person

a directory called 'docs/' filled with markdown files is 1000% better for internal documentation than notion
