The platforms that win the next decade won't just be the ones agents can provision.
They'll be the ones that help agent-started projects keep moving all the way to production.
That's the AX question. netlify.com/blog/agent-experience-moves-upstream You don't need Redis or Kafka for simple Pub/Sub!
Postgres has LISTEN and NOTIFY for simple real-time messaging.
we wrote a beginner-friendly blog with a @bun.sh demo, plus when to use it and when to reach for a queue.
Check it out👇
pris.ly/pub-sub would recommend spelunking @archive.org for cozy old domain uses nytimes opinion piece with an outlink with the utm_source=chatgpt.com tracker intact www.nytimes.com/2026/04/30/o... Read the docs and start optimizing your queries now 👇
pris.ly/docs/query-... Now, with Prisma Postgres, you can inspect raw SQL queries and the SQL generated by Prisma ORM, spot inefficiencies, and get prompts you can pass to your AI agents to improve query performance faster. Slow queries are hard to fix when you cannot see what is actually running.
Especially with ORMs, raw SQL, or agent-generated code.
That is why we built Query Insights into Prisma Postgres 👇 "But the equation underneath has shifted. If there is an agent in the room with you, the layer of convenience you used to rent gets thinner. The case for owning your infrastructure, or at least owning the ability to reason about it, is stronger than it has been."
pepicrft.me/blog/the-con... Nice, looking forward to it!

April
pete.garden/april-2026 fair enough!
What's your preference for personal blog newsletters? I've gone back and forth on full plaintext versus light HTML (mostly for hypertext, but also a bit of italicizing and whatnot)
Netlify Database launched this week: zero-config managed Postgres, built into the platform.
Conor Martin put together a clear walkthrough showing how quickly you can provision one for your app.
Watch here: youtu.be/U1MFRgCTYGc?... We spent the week in Rome for our yearly meetup, and had a phenomenal time together. We timed our 1.0 launch for this week so we could all be together when we hit the button. Flying home now, proud of this milestone and excited to show you the next era of Zed. Big things coming! Cheers 🥂
updated my garden note...and interestingly enough (I don't remember writing it) I'm not so sure about the tattoo bit anymore
I get the sense texting (and writing elsewhere) in all lowercase is strongly considered a gen z thing these days, but I learned in @gretchenmcculloch.com's Because Internet that it was a Unix hacker thing
(great book, btw) row-level security is a technology meant to leak information, the purpose of the system is what it does not what it fails to do
🙏 thank you for the reminder
Did you know you can use most ESLint plugins with Oxlint?
That also includes the @react.dev compiler rules 🎉
More info about JS Plugin support in the blog post & docs
