dashboard key actions (create/update/delete/rotate/edit) now run through the same path as the public api. same validation, same errors. no more drift between api and dashboard. gateway key auth can enforce a key's named rate limits now, matching the experience in our API
if you are using automatic builds without dockerfiles you can tell us how to build. great for monorepos where you have shared packages.
you can attach roles and permissions when you create a key, instead of creating it and editing it after issue it with the right access from the start
you can now share an api key with a one-time link it reveals the secret once, then it's dead. a secure way to hand a key to a teammate or customer without dropping it in slack.

- gateway key auth can enforce a key's named rate limits oh wait, no, it’s as cool as the other side of the pillow

(via @janefriedman.com’s great newsletter) Watch the full Hot App Summer recap livestream here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9-a... #HotAppSummer wrapped with 380 community-built apps. We expected maybe 10 submissions when it started. Turns out a public leaderboard brings out everyone's arcade high score instincts. Tania and KP recap the summer in this clip. the problems afaict are that the public benefits of corps are always defined so broadly it's hard to ever say they're being violated, and only shareholders with 2% of equity could bring such a suit, so the 'public' in general doesn't have standing to say if the company has gone astray
anthropic is a pbc and openai is a pbc supposedly controlled by a 501c3. the idea of a pbc is that a company states a public benefit in their charter and investors have supposed rights to sue if the company violates that charter benefit.
