this is good, if you have that kind of upstream focus-splintering in your life, it's the best you're going to get. but if the problem is distraction (which is mostly my case lately) i think there's value in both avoiding those tools and toughing through it trying to stay heads-down on something.

llm use while caring for a baby/dog is the most emblematic example of the latter that i keep encountering - it's a technology that's great if you have 10 minutes at a time to work on something and want a computer to be chugging along (focusing?) in the meantime
